Patch Day!
It’s Patch Day!
Some of you, like me, are probably scouring the intertubes for all the information you can find to get ready for this afternoon when the servers go live. I’ve been reading up on boss fights in the hopes that we can go into Ulduar tonight, browsing loot tables, reading up on new achievements and a ton more.
So, when the servers come up what are you going to do first?
For me, it’ll probably go like this:
Step 1. Log in
Step 2. Disconnect
Step 3. Reconnect and troubleshoot addons
Step 4. Disconnect
Step 5. Reconnect and buy dual-spec (yay, achievement!)
Step 6. Spec into Enhancement and Resto (builds still TBD but this is what I’ve been playing with)
Step 7. Disconnect
Step 8. Reconnect and attempt to hearth to Dalaran but end up having to take the boat because of lag
Step 9. Head out to the Argent Tournament
Step 10. Profit
What about you? What are your plans for the first few moments of the new patch?
I know you don’t like hunters, but I am going to keep commenting until you tell me to stop…i like your site lawl.
I did not even get to play at all last night, my server did not come up until right before I was getting ready for bed. I was highly irritated. Argh. I do not think I will Duel Speccing for a while (hunters don’t have a heal option…), though I am interested to see what the argent tournament is. I have no clue, and can’t read anything about it at work. Argh part 2.
I will log in, put my talents back where they go, then start playing with the new pet talents. That will be exciting.
I never said I didn’t like hunters. My husband is hunter. I just hate that they take all my loots. Besides, I look better in it than they do. *preens*
Few questions.
Why no Natures Swiftness in your resto build? makes a great macro for those times when the tank or someone else in the raid just got beaten half to death and needs an insta-healing wave or chain heal.
And maybe this is a noob shammy question, but why Call of Flame, and not Convection? not that I have much in the way of mana issues when I’m enhancement, but I also don’t use a DPS fire totem often (usually Flame Tongue), probably should be more often though I would guess?
I’m still playing with my Resto build. I didn’t take it because, the few times that I specced into it to try it out, I never used the skill. Maybe there’s a rotation I’m missing and will most likely end up respeccing my resto build to take it.
There is no such thing as a noob question – only idiots who make fun of people who ask questions. With the changes in 3.1 to Imp. SS, you can’t get rid of mana fast enough, so any “saves mana” talent really isn’t that beneficial anymore if you take Imp. SS. Every time I fire off a SS, my mana bar jumps back to full. I’ve been running with at least one Elemental and one Resto (waves at Takako) in the vast majority of my raids so Flametongue totem is usually taken care of so I drop a Searing Totem or a Magma Totem and, on boss fights, my Fire Elemental. I’m usually also the one to drop Frost Resist Totem (which is also in the Fire school).
